    • Abstract:
The article discusses a randomized controlled trial which examined the efficacy of flexible treatment-delivery model in treating primary care anxiety disorders. The trial included 1,004 patients with anxiety disorders, aged 18 to 75 years, who were treated with Coordinated Anxiety Learning and Management (CALM) or usual care (UC) in primary care clinics in four U.S. cities between June 2006 and April 2008. Study researchers concluded that CALM resulted in greater improvement in patients with anxiety disorders, depression and functional disability, compared with UC.
