      The article presents information on the works of author Georges Bataille which include political and philosophical essays, fiction, poetry as well as letters. The author urges to revisit Bataille's theory of excess. Suggestions are offered to view the theory in its sacrificial logic and provisional queer subjectivity that speaks to contemporary concerns, particularly those related to gender studies.
