    • Abstract:
The article reports on the formation of the Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans (FOCA) in June 2008 as a counterweight within the Anglican Communion in response to the crisis caused by the ordination of a gay bishop in 2003. FOCA is said to include leaders of Anglican churches in Africa, Latin America and Australia. FOCA will also have its own bishops, clergy and theological colleges, as well as own structures. It notes that FOCA will lead to a substantial realignment within Anglicanism. INSET: Church of England OKs female bishops.
