Best Local Podcast – Charleston Time Machine
The Charleston Time Machine podcast produced and hosted by CCPL Historian Dr. Nic Butler explores Charleston's history. With over 300 episodes, Butler dives into the less familiar corners of local history through his engaging storytelling that captivates listeners worldwide. The Charleston Time Machine has over 700,000 plays and was voted Best Local Podcast in 2019, 2025 and 2026.
Located at 68 Calhoun Street in downtown Charleston, Main Library serves as a welcoming community hub for residents and visitors. Along Charleston’s historic streets, the library offers a space to gather, learn. and explore for all ages.
