    • Abstract:
This article features Kinja, the Weblog media project of Nick Denton and co-developed by Meg Hourihan, designed to highlight the best that Weblogs have to offer, to help both novice and advanced blog readers discover new blogs, and generally to make Weblogs more accessible. Denton allegedly saw an entrepreneurial opportunity in blogging and ran with it all the way to the bank, though he has also written that blogging is not the goldmine some claim it to be. Despite his success in attracting advertisers, he is realistic about what both advertisers and audiences will be drawn to. According to Denton, there are topics that are interesting enough to attract an audience, and even some advertising, but not enough to warrant a standalone commercial. According to Matt Hamer, Kinja's engineering director and product manager, Kinja is intended to be a Weblog of Weblogs more like media than an application.
