Matthew Brady

Matt Brady serves on the Charleston County Library Board of Trustees, bringing a wealth of experience in public affairs and economic development. A resident of North Charleston, Matt is passionate about the role libraries play as inclusive spaces and vibrant community hubs. He has spent over a decade fostering growth and collaboration across the Lowcountry, holding leadership roles that include his current position as Economic Development Officer for the Town of Mount Pleasant.

Matt holds both a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from the University of South Carolina. He lives with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two children, aged two and five, enjoying family visits to local parks and, of course, the library.

Matt was appointed to the CCPL Board of Trustees in December 2024.
