History
The Dorchester Road Library is one of four larger "regional" libraries opened between January and June of 1992. Dorchester Road opened May 8, 1992. The library closed in July 2021 to undergo renovations as part of the $108.5 million referendum-funded project. The branch reopened on Oct. 11, 2022 with renovations that included new interior finishes, new shelving and furniture, a refreshed collection, technology upgrades, and new designated children and teen areas.
