Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) branches are temporarily closed and will remain closed until further notice. Fines incurred during this period are being waived.
“It appears we will be unable to reopen on March 31. Instead of proposing a potential new reopening date, which could possibly change again, we have decided to close temporarily until further notice,” said CCPL Executive Director Angela Craig. “We are taking this day-by-day and evaluating our operational capacity while children are out of school and as CDC guidelines continue evolving. As soon as we are ready to reopen our doors, we will announce the date.”
Patrons can still engage with their library from the comfort of their homes. CCPL offers an array of digital resources, programming and services, and continues to expand these offerings including a new temporary e-card that unlocks access to ebooks, audio books, movies, subscriptions and more.
